Irene Colorado

 

Irene Colorado was born and raised in Colombia. Her passion for food and its power to connect people led her to pursue professional studies in Gastronomy. As a young student, she was caught by the potential that creative areas, such as culinary arts, have for strengthening social relations. Thus, Irene was involved for 3 years in an interdisciplinary project that aimed to resignify armed conflict memory through food and cooking.

Interested in nutrition, interculturality, sustainability and food marketing, Irene continued her graduate studies in France. She accomplished the first year of an International Master in Physiological and Psychological Food Choice Determinants, followed by the second year in Languages Applied to International Affairs with emphasis on food businesses.

While becoming a Food Specialist, Irene has encountered people from all over the world, worked with political inmates and led education workshops with children and teenagers. One of her mains aspirations: getting experience in mediating social business relations between food stakeholders from across the globe.
