Nafisatu Bukari
Nafisatu Bukari worked with the Ghana Health Service (intern) as a licensed Nutrition Officer under the Allied Health Professions Council for two years post-graduation. As a CAMFED-MasterCard Alumna (CAMA), she engages in a lot of voluntary activities, notable among them is with CAMA members studying in the Diaspora. Currently, she is an MSc Applied Human Nutrition Candidate at McGill University (Macdonald Campus) and a beneficiary of the MasterCard Foundation (MCF) Scholars Program.
Nafisa has a special interest in Food and Nutrition-related issues as well as maternal and child health. Due to her interests, she is actively involved in the Global Food Security club as an extracurricular activity. Her basic role in the club is to plan projects/programs to raise awareness about food insecurity and its adverse consequences, particularly on maternal and child health. She hopes to work with organizations that contribute to achieving SDG #2 (End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture).
