Our Projects

Driving Impact Through Innovation and Community Empowerment

MotherFood International has initiated projects with partners across the globe, with a particular focus on West Africa and Colombia. We are dedicated to combating stunting, which affects over 150 million children under the age of five. Below are some of our key initiatives:

Nigeria: Moppet Foods

In partnership with eha Impact Ventures, MotherFood is proud to support Roberta Oyedokun and the Moppet Foods team as they rapidly expand their business. The impact they have made to date has been incredible as they have sold over 3 million healthy and nutritious cereal boxes, employed over fifty people while doing so in a eco responsible manner.

Ghana: Legendary Foods Africa

By incorporating palm larvae, they can produce an affordable protein source to enhance products like cookies and shito sauces. MotherFood has partnered with Legendary to support the scaling of their business and the fortification of their product line.
Nigeria: Amayi Foods

Amayi Foods is an inspiring venture led by three female entrepreneurs who collaborate with local African farmers to empower communities through the direct sourcing of organic and natural ingredients. With over 20 community-driven projects and a workforce that is more than 70% female, Amayi Foods is committed to delivering products made from 100% natural ingredients. In partnership with eha Impact Ventures, MotherFood is supporting Amayi Foods in its rapid expansion, with sales already tripling in 2024.
Nigeria: Loom Chocolate

Nigeria: Loom Chocolate

Loom Chocolate, founded by Uzo Igweike, was born out of a vision to create something “incredible” using the abundant resources of Nigeria. With a skilled local team, Loom has become a leader in crafting delicious chocolate and cocoa-based products. Through a partnership with MotherFood, Loom Chocolate is now expanding its offerings by introducing new fortified products to further diversify its business.

Colombia: The MicroFactory Project

Colombia: The MicroFactory Project

In collaboration with World Vision, MotherFood International trained three groups of twenty women across Colombia in Cali, Bogotá and Bucaramanga. The women continue to make nutritious fortified bars that are sold and consumed in their communities.

Kenya: TenXNutrition

TenX Nutrition creates culturally relevant foods that are affordable, accessible, and nutritious. Their first product is a reinvented version of the traditional mandazi—bigger, fortified, yet offered at the same price as others on the market. MotherFood is excited to support Fabio and the TenX team in meeting the incredible demand as they embark on an ambitious growth journey.
Jordan: MicroFactory Project
